Notes:

1. Peace in this model isn’t the absence of war or discord, or conflict but the Omnipresence of Divine Law everywhere always without opposition. Realization of the Force within that eliminates everything unlike Eternal Life. Today we will talk about ways to cultivate Divine Peace in consciousness which must externalize as Peace on Earth. Consciousness is experience and what surrounds us is within us– so what happens when we are conscious of Divine Truth? I am inspired by the teaching of Herb Fitch Realization of Oneness and his interpretation of the Book of John. He points out the absence of the transfiguration in John and its presence in Matthew, Mark and Luke and the absence of the resurrection of Lazarus in Mathew, Mark, and Luke and its presence In John– because it is a process. He states the Book of John begins with the Transfiguration– “John 1:3, ” All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” The point being the book of John implies growth in consciousness and unless one has graduated from born of woman to born of man or the caterpillar is in the chrysalis you may not understand the meaning of what we are talking about. Because this is for those who have been taken Principle, Soul, Life, and Love to the mountaintop of Mind where Truth is joined with Spirit. Without this You are not ready for this conversation. As Jesus said, John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” The use of the term man is crucial because it sets the standard for being lifted up. For example, when the tide comes in it doesn’t lift all the boats, it lifts all the floating boats, sunk ships remain on the bottom. The same is true with humans when exposed to Spiritual buoyancy only those who are carefully cultivating the Christ within will be lifted up.
2. Let’s introduce John 17:11-16 “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” Herb sums this up for us by giving us the statement, “we are to know we are Christ, not in the world while appearing as form in the world.” He also suggests learning how to walk through this world of good and evil keeping awareness on the Divine Creation is the practice employed to cultivate the Mind of Christ, thus cultivating peace.
3. Practice makes perfect and how we think is what we become. It is valuable to know there are three modes of mortal thought which must be mastered before one is able to walk reason through the open door of Revelation. There is a big difference between thinking with five corporeal senses and Knowing with seven Spiritual senses because we can’t bring forth the Divine image with the mortal mind. Learn the difference between working with thought and belief as opposed to letting Divine Mind do its rendering through your awareness. This is the result of perfect practice by developing the skill and ability to control thought while being able to unplug from mental-material input/output and connect to the invisible intangible Omnipresent Spirit.
4. Trying to do sense withdrawal without born of Spirit is like trying to levitate without grabbing something off of the earth– impossible. Why a Divine Metaphysical System is essential– because it supplies the sequence of requirements which build upon each other; for example in religion the baptism comes before the holy communion. Like Mrs. Eddy states in S&H ” a body rendered pure by Mind, as well as washed by water.” We wash the wall before putting the new paint up. We eliminate the material moorings before rising into the body of Christ; render a physical body into a mental image which is capable of receiving Divine inspiration before letting Divine Mind take over the Scientific government of the body.
5. We can’t give what we don’t have and Spirit is for giving and getting because Spirit is One; only One Life looking at Itself, as Itself, for Itself, and to Itself– in Spirit there is no gain or loss, no giving and taking, no living and dying just Being– only resting in Peace, Love, Joy. Spirit can’t give anything because It isn’t withholding anything; there is no striving, struggling, seeking, planning or asking in Oneness this is the Peace that passes understanding and conscious awareness of the Divine calls into expression the Perfection of Being.
6. We have a soundbite from Herb Fitch, 4th Dimension class 20A and I will play it. Quote: “There were two steps in the work of Jesus. The first was always to bring harmony. He didn’t take them into the invisible, spiritual Universe. He brought material harmony first. In other words, he first obeyed the law of normalcy in this world. He took it out of the abnormal situation into the normal rhythm of goodness. And having brought harmony, he then was able to take it from sense to Soul. Now, all of us have sought the harmony without taking the next step from sense to Soul, and you know how many people drop out of this work when the harmony comes.”
7. As John told us, ” All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” So what is war, sickness, famine, death, decay, corruption? These are things or appearances not made by Him. Which means they are not here but merely appear to be here. Learn to impersonalize which means don’t fear, love, or hate anything appearing in the five corporeal senses primarily because they aren’t here. Separate the wheat from the tares by telling the truth about the lie and the truth about the Truth. We are learning to live in obedience to the Spiritual impulse of One Life. We do this by refining, purifying, and perfecting the mind-body complex to bring it to the rhythm of Spiritual harmony before touching the Truth of Being. What we call mastering the three modes of mortal thought before walking reason through the open door of Revelation. Knowing this Truth dissolves the belief in anything not made by Him– anything less than Perfect.
