1. Virgo is mutable earth; the second earth sign and the second mutable sign. The key phrase for Virgo is “I analyze.”
2. As an earth sign it has a physical function of strength and a mental function of perception. As a mutable sign it is one of the 3 modes of mortal thought and consists of the mid mind which is human intelligence with 4 mental functions.
3. The bible tells us not to judge the Buddha says, there is nothing difficult about the Great Way just stop having an opinion.
   1. Virgo – Seizing the Girdle of Hippolyte
      a. The truth, is that, the body should be attuned to the soul and bring its beauty into manifestation, redeem it. p.120. The girdle of unity needs the body to be “attached” to the Divine. This is the glue to hold the aspirant to the path.
      b. The impulsive slaying of Hippolyte has to be rectified by the saving of Hesione. We need the feminine principle; we need the physical body. Vice “to render ineffective” ; Virtue “strength” the power of the Divine– tolerance, compassion, and charity.
      Constellations of Virgo: 1. Coma Berenice (mother of form), 2. Centaur (Animal, human, and Divine), 3. Bootes (the promise of the Saviour to come).
4. So the task of Virgo is not to accept the testimony of the 5 senses and judge not or condemn not. No to fall into the trap of critical thinking.
