Notes:

1. Using the Zodiac and the Personal Planets as a visible and tangible template to represent the Divine Self; the Infinite Spiritual Self. As identity rises from the mortal physical sense of self- it is helpful to have an astral image to represent the switch from the many into the One. The Divine Self resides before thought and above corporeal sense but what does that look like when I am doing it? And how do I do it? To make Divine Science work you need a Principle– Life is Perfect. When Spirit is cause creation is Perfect and we can use the evidence of the signs and planets to give credence to the logic, order, predictability and intelligence of the visible and tangible universe. The fixed stars are the closest tangible images we have to represent the changeless state of being. We start with belief in the Divine Principle and we graduate to faith and then to understanding. The key is not to mistake effect for cause. Spirit is the only cause and when we observe Saturn square Pluto this is an effect not a cause. The entire visible and tangible world of matter and the invisible tangible world of energy is effect never cause in Spiritual Science. The difference between the mental/material world of energy and Spirit is matter and mind run on a belief in two powers and Spirit is the understanding of One Power without opposite.
2. Two things are most helpful in accepting Spiritual identity and one is the letter of the Truth and the other is the Spirit of Truth. For me Astrology as a symbolic language is a good choice to establish the letter of Truth. Science began with the observation of nature and what better template than the universe with its logic, order, and predictability.
3. Quote from the CPS May 2023 “Astrology as a Spiritual Science is a wonderful tool to assist in development; by providing a proper sense of the infinite and working with what appears in the material senses; in order to understand what the material senses cannot know.”
4. Robert Lewis Stevenson said, ““Quiet minds cannot be perplexed or frightened but go on in fortune or misfortune at their own private pace, like a clock during a thunderstorm.” Here we are learning exactly what a quiet mind is; a mind freed from the influence of the material senses, a mind individualized by Divine Truth. Thought guided by Spiritual influence; the changeless state of Oneness. Perfect and Whole not divided but Complete and fulfilled no longer searching and trying to figure how the unreal became real but Knowing.
5. The idea of knowing Spirit becomes a challenge for the empirical senses. It is like trying to get email with a calculator– it’s not possible. But in this case we can use the calculator to help find the cell phone and with some detailed instruction; once you have a cell phone you can access email. Working with symbols and signs can be used to help an individual find Divine Mind which has access to Spiritual Truth. The operations of the planets and stars can give evidence to the underlying intelligence running the universe. We can link this with day and night, the seasons, tides, and time in general.
6. Locating the concealed Deity in Creation; the invisible intangible omnipresence which is running a Perfect Universe. Here is a clue: Herb Fitch RSJ 20A, “God is not your mortal body, but God is where you are. And when you accept your mortal body as reality, you are denying the Presence of God. This is the hurdle that you face. The moment you accept your mortal body as being present, you have imagined a form that is not there. God is there, and God is not your mortal form, and God is all. And therefore, without the capacity to fully understand that, to know that, you still must on faith, accept it. Because God is here, and God is not this form, God being all, this form cannot be here. Where is it? It’s in my consciousness. That’s the only place it exists. And as that consciousness becomes Christ Consciousness, then I will find and live in, knowingly, the Christ-form. Now that’s a transition in Consciousness we’re all going through: The actual denial of the human form, of all material form, the good and the bad.”
7. “To believe that God is a power over evil is to believe that evil has an existence, and then we either must believe God to be the cause and creator of it or we must accept another cause and creator, and the acceptance of any other cause or creator does away with Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence.” Joel S Goldsmith
8. The Spirit of the Truth is the operation of the Divine Mind revealing the Divine Creation also called “The Christ” which resolves things into thoughts and exchanges the objects of sense for the Divine idea; as Jesus said, it is the Father within that does the work. And this work is done in Oneness never twoness– because Spirit is One and indivisible.
