Serve Spirit
Title: When Mind Serves Spirit.
What you know to be true about God is not Science; what God knows to be true about you as God is Science.
Serve Spirit is a radio talk show with the title When Mind Serves Spirit.
Serve Spirit:
Hostess Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will talk about the meaning of “train the mind to serve Spirit and train the body to serve the mind” by Swami Rama Tirtha and “The scientific government of the body must be attained through the divine Mind” by Mary Baker Eddy as different ways of saying the same thing. In this show they will explain what is meant by glorify the creator, sow to the Spirit, and Pratyahara (Sense Withdrawal). Listen as they lay out the process by going from knowing, to doing, to being the One Divine Life– underlying matter is energy and underlying energy is Void or Spirit. Imitation is the highest form of praise. Welcome to the Voice of Yoga; we are talking consciousness! Join the Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance to get the Light in your soul and glorify the Creator.
Notes:
- In order to train the mind to serve Spirit we must know Spirit aright. What is everywhere, in everything, all knowing, all powerful and absolute Good. Now we are being told we can’t perceive this Spirit with the human mind which is hijacked by the material senses. So we must “repent” aka think differently. Can the mind free itself from its own creation?
- Then we look at John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
Herb Fitch LJ 5A John “They that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in Truth.”
Spirit is indivisible. To worship God you must worship as his own indivisible Spirit. And, now you can see that unless you do this, you are putting boundaries around God. You are saying, “Spirit has a limitation. Spirit begins here and ends there.” There are no boundaries around God. God is unlimited. But God is your Spirit. You! By virtue of being the indivisible Spirit of God, must accept that you have no boundaries in space or time. You are without limitations, without walls, without barriers, without boundaries. As the invisible One, you transcend the false concepts of the mind of man, the conditioned beliefs of the five material senses. You transcend the belief in separation from the One. You step out of the sleep of mortality, of death, out of the dream about evils, about lacks and limitations, out of the dream about world events that are not taking place in the reality of the indivisible One.”
LJ 7B “When we worship the physical nativity of Jesus to Mary, we’re missing the point. The truth, the real Star of Bethlehem that lights our way into the First Heaven, is the realization that Christ can only come to earth through your Virgin Soul, because you see, your Virgin Soul is entirely free of every material belief. This is the narrow gate, the narrow gate of individual and world salvation. Soul is the Virgin Mother through which you re-conceive yourself and return to the Father’s House. Mary is the world’s Soul, and Mary is your Individual Soul. Bethlehem is God Consciousness; Bethlehem is where you receive Divine Bread, the Divine Substance which expresses as the Word Made Flesh. The Christ Child is your Self born in Bethlehem, born of Divine Substance through your Soul.” - What we are getting at here is that one must be in Spiritual identity in order to have the mind that brings forth the Divine image but we must have knowledge of the infinite Spiritual body to have the Divine Mind. The idea of like attracts like and the physics of Spirituality. To know yourself in the way you are known by the creator without division.
- Training the mind here is what Mary Baker Eddy says in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, , p. 349:26–28 “Mortal thought does not at once catch the higher meaning, and can do so only as thought is educated up to spiritual apprehension.” in this process we begin by knowing the difference between a “need” and a want and then training the body to use what it thinks it needs in accordance with Divine Law. Put God first as the symbol for validation.
- Taking a still mind and touching it to a proper sense of the infinite; here in Kriya Yoga we use the Zodiac to help expand identity with a template that is visible and to some degree tangible to material sense. In the Kriya Yoga Asana program we are training the body to serve the mind by attuning them to the Divine sequence. In Salutation to the Moon we are lifting personal sense into the impersonal Divine Idea and in Salutation to the Sun we are embodying Divine qualities.
