Notes:

1. The purpose for incarnation is to glorify the Creator and we do this by revealing the Omnipresence of the Divine Self. Before exposure to the teaching of Mary Baker Eddy, I was under the impression, being a good human was the purpose of incarnation and if followed according to plan could lead to a place in the Divine Kingdom. Thanks to Mrs. Eddy’s discover, I am no longer waiting but instead seeking the Kingdom of Heaven at hand.
2. Consciousness is experience. We can examine experiences to determine what we are conscious of. Keep in mind all the good, beautiful, and true attributes belong to the Divine, while remembering what appears in the corporeal senses is never Real or the Divine Truth– it is a reflection, an appearance, a thought but not the Spirit. When gauging the corporeal sense testimony we can determine– everything without Divine quality reveals a lack of conscious awareness of the Divine Principle but all the good, beautiful, and true appearances require further inspection. Not to be fooled by the finite good of mortal thought as opposed to Absolute Good of the Divine Idea.
3. To assist us in learning how to be the outlet for Divine Truth. We have this from Herb Fitch Realization of Oneness, class 30A, “
   And the reason this is difficult is because we’re used to thinking with the personal mind making decisions with the personal mind and the personal mind is separated from God. I, the Christ mind, this mind that you are touching, I am your only mind and I go to my Father. I am one with God. I synchronize you with the Infinite. When you rest up in the upper firmament of I Consciousness, you are synchronized with the Infinite. You transcend evil just by being there. It has no place to go in your Consciousness. We are learning to have that mind which was in Christ Jesus which transforms our earthly life.
   Jesus is going away but I, Christ remain. Jesus goes away that you may discover that I, Christ is the identity of Jesus and that as I, Christ dwell in Jesus,, I, Christ dwell in you, that everything Jesus did on the earth, I, Christ did where he appeared and I, Christ who did these things am your Self ready to do these same things where you are – if you will dwell in me. As you develop the capacity to make the great shift from the mind of the personal self to I, the Christ mind in you, every miracle that walked upon this earth where a human body seemed to be in some form of limitation, I removed and I am ready to do that work again and again and again through any individual on the earth who will abide in I, here, now. Have that mind which was in Christ Jesus and that mind knows that no evil is present where I am.”
4. What exactly is the corporeal sense testimony? It is a mental appearance about the Divine Creation. It reminds me of white light passing through the prism and breaking off into seven colors. The mortal mind takes the pure consciousness of Spirit and breaks it off into a dualistic, good and evil appearance we call life or reality. To delve a bit deeper with the concept let’s turn to Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures 119:25-32 to 120:1-30 by Mary Baker Eddy:
   “In viewing the sunrise, one finds that it contradicts the evidence before the senses to believe that the earth is in motion and the sun at rest. As astronomy reverses the human perception of the movement of the solar system, so Christian Science reverses the seeming relation of Soul and body and makes body tributary to Mind. Thus it is with man, who is but the humble servant of the restful Mind, though it seems otherwise to finite sense. But we shall never understand this while we admit that soul is in body or mind in matter, and that man is included in non-intelligence. Soul, or Spirit, is God, unchangeable and eternal; and man coexists with and reflects Soul, God, for man is God’s image.
   Science reverses the false testimony of the physical senses, and by this reversal mortals arrive at the fundamental facts of being. Then the question inevitably arises: Is a man sick if the material senses indicate that he is in good health? No! for matter can make no conditions for man. And is he well if the senses say he is sick? Yes, he is well in Science in which health is normal and disease is abnormal.
   Health is not a condition of matter, but of Mind; nor can the material senses bear reliable testimony on the subject of health. The Science of Mind-healing shows it to be impossible for aught but Mind to testify truly or to exhibit the real status of man. Therefore the divine Principle of Science, reversing the testimony of the physical senses, reveals man as harmoniously existent in Truth, which is the only basis of health; and thus Science denies all disease, heals the sick, overthrows false evidence, and refutes materialistic logic.
   Any conclusion pro or con, deduced from supposed sensation in matter or from matter’s supposed consciousness of health or disease, instead of reversing the testimony of the physical senses, confirms that testimony as legitimate and so leads to disease.”
