1. We are focusing on the quote from Matthew 23:9 and also something from Mary Baker Eddy Christian Healer by Y. von Fettweis and R. Warneck Pg. 230 “In 1896 Mrs. Eddy wrote Lida Stone: … What our Cause needs most is the impersonalization of thought. I see little if any growth in this direction. To destroy any effect we must remove its cause. The first error was limiting Mind, or personality, which was supposed to contain mind. Now to love or hate or fear or believe in this finity of mind called mortal personality is to preserve the cause of all error…. No persons can grow into Christian Science until they have grown out of attaching themselves to personality either through fear, love, or hate.” We must know ourselves in the way we are created which is Spirit but we can’t be both Spirit and mental-material– it is a choice.
2. I found this on a Facebook Post from the Mary Baker Eddy Library dated 5/25/26 10:00 AM and I will read it. “”When thought dwells in God, — and it should not, to our consciousness, dwell elsewhere, — one must benefit those who hold a place in one’s memory, whether it be friend or foe, and each share the benefit of that radiation.” -Mary Baker Eddy. We are to Know we are Christ not in the world, while appearing as forms in the world. To begin to understand this statement, it is crucial to know thought sees what isn’t there while only conscious Knowing sees what is there. As Mrs. Eddy instructed Lida Stone, “No persons can grow into Christian Science until they have grown out of attaching themselves to personality either through fear, love, or hate.” Until we Know, Divine Law only functions in Divine Life and there is only One Life everywhere always– we continue to try and apply Spiritual Truth to mental-material illusion and forfeit the Divine Principle. No person can apply Spiritual Truth because there isn’t any person in Truth.
3. Surprising to discover something everywhere always isn’t seen, heard, touched, tasted or smelled because as Krishnamurti said, “the mind can’t free itself from its own creation.” The entire mental-material world of energy is an illusion, a hypnotic state, thought driven by the belief in two powers. We see what isn’t here and are blind to what is here which is the Divine Creation– the Perfection of Being. Thinking is how we feed the veil and Knowing is how we reveal the Truth. Stop thinking which is forming thoughts and opinions based on the information coming through the corporeal senses. Start by learning how to control thinking with Pranayama exercises. Start by education thought up to Spiritual apprehension. Learn the relationship between consciousness and thought then separate consciousness from the mental-material illusion and rejoin with Spirit– the invisible intangible Omnipresence.
4. In a similar way one doesn’t show up the day of a marathon race with their sneakers. There is preparation for the race; years for some, months for others, few can do it in weeks or days. As Mrs. Eddy told humanity in Miscellaneous Writings – The Way – page 355, “mortal mind must pass through three stages of growth.” There is a progression with thinking which is protocol for the graduation from sense to Soul. Solve the belief in fear, faithful and orderly with the objects of sense by maintaining the highest understanding of right, then give Judas the sop which overcomes the betrayer in the midst– which is mortal thought and karmic law appearing as corporeal sense in human consciousness– thus overcome the world. Before reason is walked through the open Door of Revelation. Experienced in a sequence where thought is controlled, then stopped, and Divine Mind is held in consciousness to do Its Knowing in awareness– and when the Lord builds the house it is Perfect.
5. Mrs. Eddy suggests this in The Way, first stage is self-knowledge; which may mean we must know ourselves in the way we are created, and not the way we think we are created– Spirit and not mental-material. Second stage in mental development is humility. She isn’t talking about false modesty but the Spiritual request of meekness which is what happens to identity as it shifts from a mental-material basis to a Spiritual basis. The realization there is only One Life and it is Perfect and the only Life I Am. The third stage of mental development is Love; Divine Egoism the One Perfect Life looking at Itself, as Itself, of Itself, and to Itself. Principle and idea is the Revelation of One Life Perfect and Whole everywhere always. We have three quotes from The Way to help substantiate our findings.
   “All men shall be satisfied when they “awake in His likeness,” and they never should be until then.” “On the same principle, you continue the mental argument in the practice of Christian healing until you can cure without it instantaneously, and through Spirit alone.” ” The way is absolute divine Science: walk ye in it; but remember that Science is demonstrated by degrees, and our demonstration rises only as we rise in the scale of being.”
6. Let’s look at some terms now to help organize the information. Impersonalization, Chemicalization, and Spiritualization in the context of process and progression. We can use Realization, Sanctification, and Revelation. As Mrs. Eddy says, “demonstrated by degrees.”
