Title The Cold Restrictions of Material Law.
Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
Cold Restrictions is a radio talk show with the title The Cold Restrictions of Material Law.
Cold Restrictions:
Hostess Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will talk about the misfortunes imposed on life by the limitations accepted by western civilization’s sole belief in mortality. Listen as they expose the ramifications of mortal reason when it is put in charge of human possibilities. In this show they will look at statements like, “nobody’s perfect,” “no one lives forever,” and how they contradict the Scriptural promise of Eternal Life. Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” Sow to the flesh is cold and dead but to Know the Truth is freedom from the belief in sickness, suffering and even death. Notes:
- I got the title reading Gilbert Carpenter’s book Mary Baker Eddy, Her Spiritual Footsteps, Chapter Three Independent Thought Needed by Pioneer. He talks about a book written where MBE is mentioned and then says, “If, in the splendid soil of Mrs. Eddy’s mind, any weeds of morbidity, discontent, or insubordination flourished, as Dr. Fishbein would have the world believe, they would merely point to that which later was proved to be so fertile, because of the plenteous harvest that followed the planting of the spiritual seed. If there was any lack of human docility in the child, Mary Baker, any lack of effort to make the best of things, any lack of unprotesting obedience to a situation in life which most people would consider inevitable, this would be a definite signpost pointing to her fitness to be entrusted with a message from God, and its unfoldment to humanity. Anything critical biographers may unearth in Mrs. Eddy’s early experience that might point to an undue independence of spirit, would only prove how impossible it is to control and direct a great mind with human rules and regulations. When will any mortal waken to spiritual freedom, unless the hunger for such freedom first produces a mounting discontent with the cold restrictions of material law? To set the table for this show we will serve– the finite mortal sense of life is a belief, as the Spiritual fact and not what one may think a mere April Fool’s.
- Today we are looking to overcome the limitations of the mortal mind by demonstration. By employing the strategy suggested in S&H called chemicalization. Pg 168:32 “By chemicalization I mean the process which mortal mind and body undergo in the change of belief from a material to a spiritual basis.” What we call stop thinking and start Knowing. This is for anyone ready to declare themselves to be immortal and willing to understand what that looks like when experienced. To not fall to the second death; but to die to personal sense and reveal the risen Christ.
- What is material law? But the belief in two powers and the denial of the Omnipresent Divine Principle. As Mrs. Eddy wrote “But thought, loosened from a material basis but not yet instructed by Science, may become wild with freedom and so be self-contradictory.” S&H p.552:19
To say “I am a reflection of the Divine and still experiencing challenges” For me, is a contradiction– it doesn’t go far enough. “Not yet instructed by Science” No Principle, no rule and no outcome. I understand if that is good enough for you and you are willing accept the Divine as being a mix of good and bad. But it leaves you accepting imperfection and will keep you in the ever ending never ending cycle of death and rebirth– no rule. Living under the material law of karma which is driven by a belief in two powers. Life without Principle! Divine Law is dominion over material law but it must be understood in order to be demonstrated. As Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “You render the divine law of healing obscure and void, when you weigh the human in the scale with the divine, or limit in any direction of thought the omnipresence and omnipotence of God.” It is an impossibility to be a human with challenges and Divine at the same time.
