Christmas 2016

Hostess Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will be discussing the concept of the birth of Christ, with a different way of looking at Jesus Christ. Christ Mass as a Merry Pranafest; and not so much as a person who may have lived 2000 years ago. Christ Mass as actually the consecrated connection to the Life Force, today. They will compare the deeper meaning of Christmas with the Yoga term, Brahmacharya and explain why it is important to celebrate with the Spirit of the Holiday.  The real question they will explore is why aren’t we celebrating the importance of the availability of the Life Force and how did all this other “stuff” become so important. Get the Light in your Soul and become the change you want to see– Merry Christmas. Welcome to the Voice of Yoga; we are talking consciousness! Join the Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance as we focus on the development of the Higher Mind.

1. Christ means consecrated or anointed and Jesus means “God’s” help. The term to me, now more refers to the connection to the Life Force; rather than a person who lived 2000 years ago.
2. In the Kriya Yoga that we teach Brahmacharya means carrier of Brahman (the Hindu symbol for God). Union of the individual with the Divine.
3. When we hear the “Aum” the human mind/body complex just started up! Now we have Yoga; union with the Divine.
4. The reason we don’t do it is because we have lost the “practices” and the purpose of the “practices” and thus we don’t know what it is supposed to look like when we are united with the Divine. The term in Yoga is Avidya and the why it is explained in the Bible is false gods.
5. We have choices and we have to make the “right” choice. Particles, waves or the Absolute. What do you desire?
In the Bhagavad Gita it is written “the sum of the habits determine our nature; and it all comes about as a result of the bent of the mind.” Whatever the pattern of your body desires will determine your nature. Desire particles animal nature; desire waves, human nature; desire the Absolute, Divine nature. Joy to the world the Lord has come!
