Divine Feast
Title: Feasting on the Divine Word
What does it look like when we are feasting or preying on the Divine Word?
Divine Feast is a radio talk show with the title Feasting on the Divine Word.
Divine Feast:
Hostess Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will talk about making the choice to indulge on the invisible intangible Divine Omnipresence as opposed to staying attached to this world. Listen as they explain communion with the Divine isn’t deprivation but indulgence. In this show they will explore what it looks like to pray which is a state of consciousness where Divine Truth is realized and experienced. Revelation 21:5 “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” Welcome to the Voice of Yoga; we are talking consciousness! Notes:
- We are discussing communion with the Divine. In this model prayer as meditation is a state of consciousness in which the realization of Divine Truth is experienced. What Mary Baker Eddy called inspiration and demonstration. What does it look like when we are feasting on the Divine Word? To begin the idea we have a soundbite from Herb Fitch RSJ 22B.
- Transfiguration: The book of John doesn’t mention this important event because John’s book begins after the experience of Jesus taking James, Peter, and John to the Mountain where Moses and Elijah appear. After the inner event of becoming conscious of the Word, the Life Force, the invisible, intangible Omnipresence, Spiritual Substance made visible to human consciousness.
- Born again of Spirit by knowing life in matter must be given up for Life in Spirit. How do we do this? The Old Testament called this the New Covenant and we switch thought from a mental/material basis to a Spiritual basis and begin to experience the “physics” of Spirituality. Train the mind to serve Spirit and train the body to serve the mind. Changing the pattern of the body from looking for what is visible and tangible and invisible and tangible to what is invisible and intangible.
- Stop thinking with the 5 material senses and start Knowing with the 7 Spiritual senses. Gilbert Carpenter, MBE, HSF chapter 20. ” “I used to say before going before an audience, Now dear God, here I am, use me; I am absent from the body and present with Thee in consciousness. Love uses me in its own good way. I would lift myself right out of the material sense of self and audience, and let God use me.” To begin to understand the difference between thinking and Knowing this shift in consciousness from mental/material to Spiritual. Joel Goldsmith in The Infinite Way, writes “Prayer is a state of consciousness in which we experience the realization of harmony, perfection, oneness, joy, peace, and dominion. Often, prayer or communion brings to the individual some specific truth, and this truth appears outwardly as the fruitage of his own consciousness of real being.” Spirit is a demonstrable Principle and testifies with deeds and not mere words. The Divine Word, we feast on is an inner event that externalizes in an outer experience.
- John 10:1 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” Then in, John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” Jesus give us some very helpful information in this parable when understood correctly is sound methodology for feasting on the Divine Word. There is only one way into the Kingdom of Heaven and it is the door which is the Mystical I AM. Mary Baker Eddy’s revelation of Divine Egoism. One Being, only One Perfect Divine Life everywhere always.
- Building the mental landscape to support the Divine Principle and then walking reason through the open door of Revelation. To construct this mental landscape we are faithful and orderly with the objects of sense by educating thought up to Spiritual apprehension. We accomplish this by adherence to the highest understanding of right or Good. Living out from a value system where all the good, beautiful, and true attributes belong to the Divine.
