Divine Light:
Hosts Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will discuss the transfiguration in the Bible, where Jesus takes James, Peter, and John to the mountaintop, where Moses and Elijah appear, symbolizing a pathway to heaven. Tune in as they delve into John 1:4: “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” This episode explores the developmental stages needed to transition from sense to Soul, represented as a circle. Welcome to the Voice of Yoga, where we explore consciousness! Join the Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance to activate the Soul senses and reflect the Divine image and likeness.
Notes:
- I am inspired to do this show by the transfiguration which appears in the bible in Mathew, Mark, and Luke but not John and the reason being is the book of John begins with the transfiguration and represents the continuation of the developmental process after the recognition of Divine Omnipresence. There is a lot of preparatory work involved in cultivating a consciousness from sense to Soul. Today we will talk about the symbolism of the transfiguration by substituting Jesus, James, Peter, John, and the Mountain Top with Principle, Soul, Life, Love, and Mind and then; Moses and Elijah with Truth and Spirit we can create a working template to graduate from mental/material to Spiritual awareness. It is best to treat and prepare the soil before planting and in this model we are preparing consciousness for the birth of Christ.
- Important point before Moses and Elijah appear Jesus must take James, Peter, and John to the Mountain top. There is a prerequisite before the joining of Truth with Spirit. Using the stairway to heaven as our map we can begin at Muladhara Chakra or Ephesus or Principle which for me are all symbolized by Jesus or better yet– The Christ.
- The process is symbolized by a circle because we end up where we began. Spirit is One and Changeless; We don’t make ourselves Spirit we come out of the belief in matter. John 15:4-5 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
