Carnal Habits:

Hostess Lisa Winton and Swami Jayananda will talk about unconscious patterns and conditioned responses which are the result of world mind functioning as corporeal sense in individual consciousness. Listen as they discuss the strategy to master the three modes of mortal thought by activating Spiritual perception. In this podcast they will explain the importance of rebirthing the physical body in the invisible intangible Omnipresence by training the mind to serve Spirit.  Welcome to the Voice of Yoga; we are talking consciousness! Join the Kriya Yoga Spiritual Advance to get the Light in your soul and reflect Divinity.

Notes:

  1. Carnal habits because we are conditioned by the activity of the mortal mind which is blind to the Divine Creation. As we have learned the mortal mind can’t free itself from its own creation and for us to break the habit we learn to think differently. How can we realize our true Spiritual Wholeness. To do this we stay with the bible– if you notice the Transfiguration is in Matthew, Mark, and Luke but not in John and the Resurrection of Lazarus is in John but not in Matthew, Mark, or Luke. The book of John begins with the Transfiguration, “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” It is essential to understand the use of the term “men” which doesn’t have anything to do with gender but a level of consciousness or a stage in development where boys become men and girls become women. Mary Baker Eddy gave humanity a wonderful clue in Christian Healing, page 14. “The preparation for a metaphysical practitioner is the most arduous task I ever performed. You must first mentally educate and develop the spiritual sense or perceptive faculty by which one learns the metaphysical treatment of disease; you must teach them how to learn, together with what they learn. I waited many years for a student to reach the ability to teach; it included more than they understood.
Metaphysical or divine Science reveals the Principle and method of perfection,– how to attain a mind in harmony with God, in sympathy with all that is right and opposed to all that is wrong, and a body governed by this mind.”
  2. The Transfiguration is a metaphor for phase one in human development which can be represented by the symbol of born of man or how to separate from the pattern of the physical body– the hero’s journey where the boy separates from mother and undertakes the labors and tasks to become a man. How to resolve the physical form into a mental image capable of receiving Divine Revelation. The reverse engineering of manifestation– things are made of thoughts, and thoughts are made of Spirit; form follows function.
  3. The idea of graven images as prohibition in the bible because of the common mistake of worshipping the image and not the Source or Substance of Spirit. I like what the Tibetan’s say, “we need the finger to point to the moon but woe unto them who mistake the finger for the moon; for they shall not know the bright light of the moon nor what a finger is.”
  4. Human socialization with human conjecture leaves humanity in a false sense of life without Principle. By accepting a temporary sense of life we struggle to improve, protect, and extend only to die in our sin– just as Jesus told us. How did we miss the message of the Christ who came to teach the Divinity of humanity? The term in Yoga is avidya or ignorance– we mistake the finger for the moon and don’t Know the Truth– Man is Spirit and not matter. The term in the bible is “repent” means think differently stop thinking with the corporeal senses and start Knowing with Spiritual sense. To do this we learn it is a process which begins with things we can and must do, along with what we must know and then execute with devotion and dedication. To realize the Man who is the image and likeness of the Perfect Creator.
  5. What does it mean to be Spiritual? To Know I am One without opposite, without beginning or end, Perfect without gain or loss– rest in Absolute Goodness. Talk about your happy place but It is the only Real place the Truth of Being. Pure unadulterated Life everywhere always without change. Boring! Or Bliss? The answer will depend on whether we are human or Spirit– mental-material or Pure of Heart. Can we have our cake and eat it too? Can we be mental-material and Spiritual? And the answer is no we can’t be both. It isn’t possible to be under karmic or material law and Divine Law at the same time. We can’t be in darkness when the sun is shining we have to get out of the sun. We can’t Know the Truth and be mortal, suffer with sickness, lack or limitation.
