1. Today we will talk about why there doesn’t seem to be anyone demonstrating Divine Law with Scientific certainty. And to set the table we asked Google about C.S. Lewis, and this is the answer. “C.S. Lewis writes this in his book Mere Christianity. The passage appears in Book I, Chapter 5, which was originally part of a series of WW2 radio broadcasts published as The Case for Christianity. Lewis uses a walking/road analogy rather than modern driving, arguing against the idea that humanity can never “turn back the clock” when trying to fix societal or moral errors. According to Goodreads, the exact passage states: “We all want progress. But progress means getting nearer to the place where you want to be. And if you have taken a wrong turning then to go forward does not get you any nearer. If you are on the wrong road progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road…”He expands on this analogy by comparing it to an arithmetic sum, noting that if you start a math problem the wrong way, the fastest way to complete it is to immediately admit the mistake, go back, and start over.
2. So, what is the human in the adult state? In this model, it is Oneness with the Creative Principle or Aham Brahmasmi is what Kriyananda would say, “I am the creative Principle” or as Jesus would say, “I and the Father are One.” The Realization of the Force within which dissolves the belief in the many and reveals the Allness of Eternal Life.
3. How to Know the Truth we can look at what CS Lewis said, “Perfect love, we know, casts out fear. But so do several other things– ignorance, alcohol, passion, presumption, and stupidity. It is very desirable that we should all advance to that perfection of love in which we shall fear no longer; but it is very undesirable, until we have reached that stage, that we should allow any inferior agent to cast out fear.” Fear is the defense mechanism of the false sense of self and to eliminate fear we overcome the belief in mortality. For me it is interesting to find it is a belief– not a real something. Belief is the level playing field, we are hypnotized into a mental-material state of existence but it isn’t the Truth of Being.
4. Born of Spirit eliminates the belief in death because there isn’t any death in Spirit. However we find ourselves in form and it feels real but scripture promises us “Life is hid with Christ in God.” And Perfect Love casts out fear, so what is Perfect Love but the Realization of the One Life everywhere always. Spiritual identity is what Reveals the nothingness of everything unlike the Divine Principle which means the entire mental-material illusion.
5. “Thou shalt not Kill” is just another way of saying “don’t believe in anything but the Perfection of Being” for in Truth there is no death and this means all the things leading to death, such as accidents, old age, sickness, murder, suicide, or that there is life, truth, intelligence or substance in matter.
